Infocentrix E-Discovery Toolkit is a useful application for lawyers and clients who need more information about common processing, Early Case Assessment (ECA) review and production questions. As a service to our current and prospective clients, we have put together a tool that provides valuable reference resources to give clients an idea how much their E-Discovery may cost and how long the process may take. Along with a handy data-to-documents/pages conversion calculator, the application is an essential tool for the e-Discovery practitioner.

Conversion
The Conversion Table will estimate how many emails, attachments and pages are contained in a user defined amount of E-mails and how many documents and pages may be found in a used defined amount of electronic files. The user is allowed to input the total size of data (in megabyte, gigabyte or terabyte) and select the document category from Emails (PST/NSF) to E-files (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Number of emails, attachments and pages will be estimated for Emails and number of documents and pages will be estimated for E-files.

ECA
The Early Case Assessment (ECA) review will give an estimate of the reduced data size, setup time, monthly hosting cost and monthly user cost based on size of data/storage media and number of reviewers (who are going to use the ECA platform).

Process
It will estimate the required time and cost to process the electronic documents based on the total size of data (i.e. PST, NSF, etc.) inputted by the user and also the processing items selected by the user. It will allow the user to select any item(s) from the following selections

- Native to Tiff/PDF conversion
- Bates stamping/Barcoding
- Full text extraction (OCR)
- De-duplication

Comparison
The Comparison Table will show the difference between traditional Paper Discovery and E-Discovery. Before lawyers consider to print out their emails or E-files, we would like them to consider the cost benefits of choosing E-Discovery over Paper Discovery. It will estimate and compare the required time and cost to process documents in the Paper Discovery vs E-Discovery and that will be based on the total size of documents inputted by the user and number of sets of documents required (in Paper Discovery).
